Charlotte Bobcats
November 7, 2008In the 2005 NBA Draft, the Bobcats picked up two North Carolina players: guard Raymond Felton and forward Sean May. In NBA Draft following year, they selected Adam Morrison from Gonzaga University. On March 13, 2007, Michael Jordan announced that Bobcats head coach, Bernie Bickerstaff, would not return to coach the 2007–08 season. Bickerstaff would finish the rest of the 2006-07 season. On May 25, 2007 Sam Vincent, a former assistant with the Dallas Mavericks, became the second coach in franchise history.
In the 2007 NBA Draft, the Bobcats selected Brandan Wright who was subsequently traded to Golden State for swingman Jason Richardson and power forward Jermareo Davidson. Shortly after the trade, the Franchise resigned Gerald Wallace to a reported six-year, $57 million contract. Wallace turned to be the team’s leading scorer for the 2006–2007 season. The Bobcats waived team veteran Raymond Felton who led the team in assists.
As the Bobcats looked to bolster their depth at the point guard position, Earl Boykins, the shortest player in the NBA, was signed on January 31, 2008. Sam Vincent, only lasting a year, was fired as head coach after a disappointing season in April 2008.
The Charlotte Bobcats is a professional basketball team that is a part of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association. The team is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The team is owned by Robert L. Johnson who is a founder of Black Entertainment Television. Other owners include Michael Jordan and Cornell “Nelly” Haynes. The Bobcats play their home games at Time Warner Cable Arena in uptown Charlotte.
The name Charlotte Bobcats first appeared in June 2003 as a result of a naming contest that drew over 1,250 suggestions. The name Charlotte Bobcats was preferred over Charlotte Flight and Charlotte Dragons. The bobcat is one of the few indigenous predators to the Carolinas. Charlotte, already being home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, made the cat-related name a natural choice for the area’s new basketball team. The logo of the team depicts an angry bobcat. The team mascot Rufus was finalized in 2003. The Bobcat’s Rufus Lynx appears in his orange color fur, dark sunglasses and high-top sneakers. Bobcat Orange, Silver, Blue and Black are the colors of Bobcats.
The Bobcats donned a white uniform reading Bobcats in orange with dark blue, light blue and black trimming for home games. Their primary away jersey is orange reading “Charlotte” in white with dark blue, light blue and black trimming; while the alternative jersey reads Bobcats in white with blue uniform with black, orange, and white trimming.
The alternative uniform debuted during the 2006–07 season.
The team also boost of Lady Cats, Rally Cats and Rhythm Cats. The Lady Cats are the cheerleaders that make many charitable and promotional appearances for the team. The Rally Cats is a group of high-energy performers that can be found at every Bobcats game. They are always found pumping up the crowd, throwing out t-shirts, performing stunts, dancing and participating in fan giveaways. The Rhythm Cats are a group of talented musicians who bring energy to every Bobcats home game. They generate huge fan excitement during pre-game introductions and during the game.
It’s not been long since the Bobcats appeared as a team. After NBA’s decision to expand itself in 2002, a lot of new teams appeared in Basketball. Charlotte Bobcats is one of them. Established in 2004, the Bobcats appeared on horizon two seasons after Charlotte’s previous NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, relocated to New Orleans and became the New Orleans Hornets. Robert L. Johnson was initially the sole owner of the team. Later on Michael Jordan and Nelly joined him.
The Bobcats played their first game on November 4, 2004. They lost the game to the Washington Wizards 103–96. The first win came to Bobcats two days later on November 6 by defeating Orlando Magic with score111–100. That season saw the Bobcats emerging as potential performers as they defeated the likes of defending champion Detroit Pistons and New Orleans Hornets finishing in 4th place in their division.

Boston Bruins
November 6, 2008The Boston Bruins are members of the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League, and are a Professional ice hockey team, based in Boston Massachusetts. The Boston Bruins have been playing since 1924, and entered the league as the first American based expansion franchise. They also belong to the Original Six team, with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, and Chicago Blackhawks. TD Banknorth Garden is their home arena, where they have being playing since 1995, after leaving Boston Garden which had been their home since 1928, the arena has a capacity of 17,565. Boston has the second most Stanley Cup championships by an American team.
Boston Bruins is the second most American based team with the maximum number of Stanley Cup championships. Detroit being the first ice hockey team has to its crown 11 Stanley Cup Championships. In 1923, Tycoon Charles Adams decided to expand the National Hockey League to the United States. Adams was a great ice hockey fan and convinced the NHL to grant him a franchise for Boston. The Montreal Maroons and the Boston Bruins thus became one of the NHL’s first two expansion teams.
The Boston Bruins is one of the six teams that came into existence originally. The rest of the five teams are Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, and Chicago Blackhawks. The team played during the initial years at their home in the Boston Garden ever since its formation in 1928. From the year 1995, the team began playing at TD Banknorth Garden which became their new home arena with a capacity of 17,565 spectators.
With the beginning of the World War II, like most teams Bruins was also affected. Most of the star players lost their productive years of their careers at war. By 1943, the NHL was reduced to just six teams which began to be called the “Original Six”.
The stars returned in the year 1945-46 and Clapper led the team back to the Stanley Cup Final. He retired by the next season and became to be known as the first player in the history to play twenty NHL seasons. Gradually, the team became short of good players.
In 1954, the Bruins purchased an ice resurfacing machine which had been invented by a gentleman by the name of Frank Zamboni, the first known NHL team to acquire one for their use. The Bruins sought players not protected by other teams and in 1958 signed Willie O’Ree the first black player in the NHL and Tommy Williams from the 1960 Olympic-gold medal winning American national men’s hockey team, the only American player in the NHL at that time—in 1962.
In 1964, the Bruins were repurchased by Weston Adams, after Brown’s death, and set about re-establishing the team. Bobby Orr, who was a defenseman, signed on in 1996, he was announced that season’s winner of the Calder Memorial Trophy for Rookie of the Year and named to the Second NHL. The Bruins hired young forwards who became key elements of the team’s success. From the late 1950s through the 1970’s the “Big Bad Bruins’’ became one of the league’s top teams.
After 29 years, in 1970 the Bruins made a comeback, after defeating the St. Louis Blues in four games in the Final. Orr scored the game winning goal. He was the only player to win four awards all in the same season. The Bruins set dozens of offensive scoring records; they had seven of the league’s top ten scorers. Every year, through the eighties, the Bruins made the playoffs, but usually did not get very far. The Bruins returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 1990, but again lost to the Oilers, in five games. In 1997 the Bruins missed the playoffs for the first time in 30 years. They moved from Boston Garden in the late 1990s, to their new home, the FleetCenter, now known as the TD Banknorth Garden. After a disappointing season, the team has seen some changes like that Claude Julien has been named as the new Bruins head coach, and Craig Ramsey and Geoff Ward as assistant coaches.

A Chorus Line
November 3, 2008The dancers later move on to the next stage of audition: to learn a song, but Cassie stays onstage to talk to Zach. She is a veteran gypsy with notable successes as a soloist. Zach had the history of casting her in a featured part previously, and they had lived together for several years. Zach tells Cassie that she is too good for the chorus and shouldn’t be at this audition but she intended to express her passion for dance.
Cassie and Zach’s complex relationship resurfaces during a run-through of the number created to showcase an un-named star (“One”). Zach confronts Cassie, feeling that she is “dancing down,” and they rehash what went wrong in their relationship and her career. Eventually the final eight dancers are selected: Cassie, Bobby, Diana, Judy, Val, Mike, Mark and Richie.
“One” begins with an individual bow for each of the 19 characters, their hodgepodge rehearsal clothes replaced by identical spangled gold costumes. As each dancer joins the group, it is suddenly difficult to distinguish one from the other; ironically, each character who was an individual to the audience is now an anonymous member of an ensemble. The musical was formed from several taped workshop sessions with Broadway dancers, known as “gypsies,” including eight who eventually appeared in the original cast.
A Chorus Line opened off-Broadway at The Public Theater on May 21, 1975. The show was directed and co-choreographed (with Bob Avian) by Michael Bennett. The original cast starred Scott Allen, Kelly Bishop, Robert Lupone, Wayne Cilento, Ronald Dennis, Baayork Lee, Priscilla Lopez, Donna McKechnie, Thommie Walsh, Nancy Lane, Kay Cole, Ron Kuhlman, Rick Mason, Don Percassi, Renee Baughman, Pamela Blair, Sammy Williams, Clive Clerk, and Trish Garland.
With a truly innovative idea, the show has marked its name and viewer ship. The public is running after A Chorus Line to experience the flamboyant and lurid world presented for the entertainment, which actually carries stalk and harsh realities of life. The performance is a sure hit and tickets are all up for sale!! Go and grab your share now!
Another candidate, Bobby, tries to hide the unhappiness of his childhood by cracking jokes. As he speaks, the 17 dancers have reservations about this strange audition process and debate what they should reveal to Zach. The session continues and Zach is angered when he feels that the streetwise Sheila is not taking the audition seriously. She reveals that her mother married at a young age to a man who neither loved nor cared for her. She goes on telling that when she was six, she realized that ballet provided relief from her painful family life.
The scatter-brained Kristine is tone-deaf, and her lament that she could never ‘Sing’ is interrupted by her husband. While sharing memories of adolescence, Gregory speaks about his discovery of his homosexuality, Diana recalls her horrible high school acting class, Don remembers his first job at a nightclub, Richie recounts how he nearly became a kindergarten teacher, Judy tells about her problematic childhood, and Connie laments the problems of being short.
Finally, the newly-buxom Val explains that talent doesn’t count for everything with casting directors. All go downstairs to learn a song for the next section of the audition, but Cassie, a soloist, waits to talk to Zach. They have a history together as Zach had cast her in a featured part previously. They had also lived together for several years. Since she hasn’t been able to find solo work for long, thus is willing to the chorus where she can at least express her passion for dance.
Cassie and Zach’s vague relationship re-emerges during a run-through of the number created to showcase an un-named star. Feeling that Cassie is dancing down, Zach confronts her. They rehash what went wrong in their relationship and her career. Zach points to the gypsies who will probably never get out of the line. Cassie replies, ‘ I’ll take the Chorus, if you take me’. Later, during a tap sequence, Paul falls injured and is carried off to the hospital. His audition is over. The final eight dancers are selected. These include Cassie, Bobby, Diana, Judy, Val, Mike, Mark and Richie.
“One’ begins with an individual bow for each of the 19 characters. The dancers’ hodgepodge rehearsal clothes are replaced by identical spangled gold costumes. As each dancer joins the group, it becomes difficult to distinguish one from the other. Ironically, each character who was an individual to the audience is now an anonymous member of the musical.
A Chorus Line received 12 nominations for the Tony Awards in 1975, winning nine. The winning categories were Best Musical, Best Actress, Best Featured Actor, Best Featured Actress, Best Director, Best Musical Book, Best Score, Best Lighting design and Best Choreographer. The musical also won the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for drama, becoming one of the few musicals ever to receive this honor.

American Financial Crisis – Fiat Money
October 17, 2008What started the latest addition of the American Financial Crisis was, Fiat Money, you know what I’m talking about. Mickey Mouse money. Paper, just stand back a few yards and take a look at the stuff….
Yep, it’s just paper, if they did not print so much of this paper maybe it would be worth something.
While were at it, Sit back and take a look around the room you’re in at this moment in time. Do you see anything of value that you could sell or trade if you fell on hard times. Your age will dictate what is of value to you. For example, if you are a teenager you may consider your music collection to be of great value. But for this exercises we should overlook our personal preferences and concentrate on items of value and utility. You may collect stamps for example, but what makes a stamp collection valuable ?. Rarity, rarity is what makes a stamp collection valuable. By rare I mean there is very few of them in the world. And there are a lot of people who want them because there are not many of them around. After all you must remember, a stamp is just a piece of paper with a printed image on it. Paper and ink is all it is made of.
Fiat currency is paper and ink that government orders you to accept as payment for goods and services. They have their own banks (central bank) printing this paper money, money that is not backed with anything. All this paper filters through the the economy, causing more paper claims on the limited resources this world has to offer. This drives up prices and causes inflation, that means inflation is caused by the cenral banks.
Politicans and banker live high on the hog, the rest of us must make our living the hard way. I look at the USA and see bankers and politicans trying to tell the people they know best how to get the economy out of the mess it’s in. The mess they created trough greed.
But central banks claim they are fighting infation, I look at their actions and think not.
I think you need silver and gold. Your house contents are not mobile, and when you need to flee the nest in hurry, traveling light is a boon.

korea sem company
October 17, 2008One of the most important and critical decisions that web site owners will be doing during the course of the entire product or service life cycle is opting for the right search engine marketing (SEM) company that can turn around the financials of the company. The search engine marketing (SEM) companies are the make and break deals for hundreds of successful web sites. Time is a critical element since the customers make decisive decisions on the fly on the worth of the web sites. Search engine marketing campaigns need to take into account all aspects of the customer base. The customer base, trends and analytical trends all are important variables and factors that a good search engine marketing campaign should comprehend and base their strategies on.
With such a diverse Asian SEM (search engine marketing) market; it is comparatively hard to finalize a sound consultant that can drive sales and provide the immediate output that you would so desire. Before choosing any SEM vendor, there are several prerequisite steps that one needs to follow. First of all, you need to have a clear perception of the marketing goals that you want to achieve. Without a definitive mindset of goals, you would not be clear on the pricing model and the various aspects of the marketing campaign. It is not only detrimental but rudimentary to have a comprehensive analysis of your perception of the market and what to expect from a search engine marketing campaign. This kind of input would also help in providing and honing the marketing campaign from the vendor. Goals and objectives identify the steps required to be taken to accomplish those goals and what potential obstacles stand in the way.
One of the primal objectives behind the search engine marketing campaign is to provide lucrative solutions that cater to the hindrances in the way. The marketing campaign has to target the variances in the initial report and ensure that the obstacles have been eliminated in the marketing campaign. Moving forward, the SEM service offering has to fulfill the needs and overcome and known obstacles. Finally, when the services that you require have been identified, you can begin seeking out SEM firms that offer such services, and start evaluating their ability to provide those services in a way that works with your business model. Not all search engine marketing campaigns can synchronize with the business needs and requirements. Extensive meetings might need to take place to create an environment of trust and understanding. Do realize that the search engine marketing campaign has become a catalyst in achieving higher number of hits.
Another plethora of questions that need to be streamlined between you and the search engine marketing vendor is about the products and services you want to market. It is typically easier to broadcast a marketing campaign with a single niche in the internet market but a myriad of services renders a different ballgame. Different services require a completely different marketing campaign. Sales leads are dependent upon the look and price of services. Sometimes bundled packages become more attractive as compared to individual items. And on some occasions, the intent of the web site is to only introduce and sale off items that will be out of stock or obsolete in a few months. All of this again depends upon your goals and ambitions.
Another important aspect to note is the overall statistical analysis of the sales leads generated from the search engine marketing campaign. How many sales leads were generated? Are they going to be distributed to direct sales or through distributors? What is the turn around timelines to distribute services and get the product delivered? Cost analysis of the marketing campaign versus sales leads. All of these are important avenues that need to be covered while completing the web site for the marketing campaign. Many of times many of the tier one search engine marketing campaign vendors promote white papers and free newsletters that provide more insights to the overall internet marketing campaign. Web sites have been known to be increased due to online demons and ecommerce transactions. All possible avenues need to be explored prior to launching any kind of service in the market.
Optimization and scope of the projects is another important factor that needs to outline. It is imperative that the total number of sales can be easily accommodated within the stated timelines and that the ecommerce transactions are properly logged. Many of times a substantial amount of sales leads come into play but the end services and applications are not optimized for the exponential increase in sales.
Search engine marketing campaigns have become an integral part of all web sites to increase and add value to the current and new customer base.
